travelguides.cc is an independent editorial project. We publish long-form city guides, neighbourhood essays, and practical itineraries — for travellers who want to understand a place, not just visit it.

We write the way we travel: slowly, on foot, in good light, with a notebook. Every guide is structured around the questions we ask ourselves before a trip — where to base yourself, what to skip, where to eat without queueing, which corner of the city the locals actually love.

What we cover

Cities first, then routes between them. We focus on metropolitan destinations with depth: places where one trip is never enough, where a neighbourhood feels different at 7am than at 11pm, where the food, architecture, and street culture each deserve their own essay.

Editorial standards

Every recommendation in a travelguides.cc piece has been visited and re-visited. We don't accept paid placements, we disclose any press trips, and we re-publish destination guides with seasonal updates rather than letting them go stale.
